Andreas Gutzeit Andreas Gutzeit is an award-winning Writer/Director and Documentary Producer

Mr. Gutzeit has been working in the film and television industry since 1986. He began his television career at ABC NEWS as a freelance producer for PRIME TIME LIVE, NIGHTLINE and WORLD NEWS TONIGHT WITH PETER JENNINGS. The highlights during this phase of his career include coverage of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the subsequent collapse of communism in Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union.

In 1992, Andreas Gutzeit joined the German All News Network VOX as a correspondent. He covered major news events, such as the uprising against Russian President Boris Yeltsin in 1993.

In 1995 Mr. Gutzeit moved to the United States to establish a production house in Washington D.C., specializing in documentary films. As a Writer/Director and Producer he has completed a number of high-profile documentary projects:

FILMOGRAPHY:

100 YEARS - THE COUNTDOWN:
A 100X10 series documenting the major events of the 20th century. The three year long production aired with ratings success and critical acclaim on ZDF, Germany's largest public broadcaster.

THE MAN WHO LIVES WITH MONSTERS:
A cutting-edge documentary profiling Robert K. Ressler, the original serial-killer profiler. Ressler established the FBI Behavioral Sciences Unit which uses psychological profiles to identify and capture notorious serial killers such as Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy and Jeffrey Dahmer. The program has aired on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom and Court TV in the United States.

THIS IS WHERE YOU PAY:
An original 16mm production for German broadcaster PRO SIEBEN, which profiles the lives of three inmates in a shock incarceration boot camp for youthful offenders. The production was nominated as one of the 10 best German television productions in 1996 by the Axel Springer Prize for Young Journalists. The film was successfully remarketed to other European broadcasters like the BBC.

INA: A WOMAN FROM STAVROPOL:
Profiles the odyssey of a young Russian teacher, who travels to Germany in search for a job, in order to support her parents and eight year old daughter and ends up in the hands of organized prostitution. The film was originally produced for VOX and was resold to over 10 European broadcasters.

GANGLAND:
Follows the victim of a drug-related shooting during one night in the Emergency Room at Washington's DC General Hospital. The film profiles the lives of the victim and his older brother, both members of one of Washington's most notorious gangs.
