Joan E. Lanigan

Devillier Donegan Enterprises, a Disney/ABC subsidiary, specializes in the development and distribution of high-quality, non-fiction television programs, working with independent producers and buyers worldwide. As Vice-President, Legal and Business Affairs, Ms. Lanigan is responsible for the company's production, co-production and television licensing agreements, as well as agreements for related ancillary markets, such as companion books and soundtracks. Prior to joining Devillier Donegan Enterprises in 1987, Ms. Lanigan was with the law firm of Sanford, Adams, McCullough & Beard, specializing in communications law and cable franchising. She began her television career at the Public Broadcasting System ("PBS") where she held various positions, including scheduling programs for the network. Ms. Lanigan received her law degree, with honors, from Georgetown University in 1984.
