Bill Morgan
Bill Morgan is the Managing Director and co-founder of JWM Productions, a multiple-Emmy-award winning television production and communications company based in Takoma Park, MD. Since its inception in 1996, JWM has produced over 75 hours of programming for a variety of clients, including The Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, Time-Life, National Geographic, The Readers Digest, CNN, and NBC.
JWM's production slate covers all genres of adult and children's programming, from natural history and contemporary issues to in-depth news coverage. Their most recent production, The Unfinished War, aired on CNN in January 2001 to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the Gulf War.
JWM is currently producing approximately 20 hours of programming for a diverse client base and enjoys a multi-year development deal with Granada Media in the United Kingdom.
Prior to founding JWM Productions, Bill worked as the Coordinating Producer on Time Life's Lost Civilizations. Lost Civilizations premiered on NBC in 1995 and was subsequently awarded the 1996 Prime Time Emmy award for Outstanding Non-Fiction series. The series has since been distributed in over 80 countries worldwide.
Bill began his television career at National Geographic Television where he worked on the EXPLORER and Specials series. While at National Geographic, he worked in the business affairs and production management departments.
Bill graduated in 1986 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in English and Radio/Television/Motion Picture studies.
