Tom Perlmutter

Tom Perlmutter has spent the last decade creating outstanding series for the international television market. His distinctive trademark is marrying highly popular, edgy, programming with thoughtful, layered subtexts. His recent work includes The Team (CBC), Medical Mysteries (TLC, Itel), The Body: Inside Stories, (Discovery, La Cinquieme), Turning Points of History (History TV, TFO), and The Sexual Century (ITV, History TV, France 2). He has also written, directed or produced numerous award winning one-offs including Whisper in the Air (CBC, A&E, TVO), Distress Signals (CBC, Channel 4, NFB), Tough Assignment (TVO). Tom was previously head of development at CineNova and, prior to that, head of documentaries at Barna-Alper Productions.
