Zac Reeder
Zac Reeder grew up in San Bernardino, California and earned a degree in
Psychology from UCLA, where he also pitched for four years on the
University's NCAA baseball team. Zac began his career in production at ZM
Productions ("Encino Man", "Hearts of Darkness: a Filmmaker's Apocalypse"),
where he started as a production assistant and eventually helped produce some
of the behind the scenes, "making-of" programs the company was famous for.
After his stay at ZM, Zac moved on to Fox's television movie department,
where he worked on several made-for-television movies in various production
capacities.
Zac gained experience in the intricacies of international distribution while
at New World International, whose library included almost every type of film
and television show, including "Heathers", "Revenge" and "The Wonder Years".
Zac later moved on to become Director of Acquisitions and Development for
West Side Studios (aka "AIP"), a prolific producer of independent action
films. At West Side, Zac met Bryan Todd and the two decided to go out on
their own, forming 4 Corners Entertainment Inc.
Through 4 Corners Entertainment, Zac produced three modest budgeted genre
pictures, and distributed over 20 feature films, including limited
distribution of the Academy Award winning documentary, "Hoop Dreams," and
international distribution of the "Dead Head" documentary "Tie-Died."
After four years at 4 Corners, Zac joined PorchLight Entertainment as its
Head of Acquisitions. Since joining PorchLight, Zac has acquired the rights
to over 20 feature films and many hours of series programming, including the
award winning family film "Shiloh 2." Zac has also acquired the rights to
reality-based programs and documentaries, including "Everest - Climb for
Hope," "Disasters at Sea" and "South America Expeditions."
