Robert Fiveson
Robert Fiveson is a seasoned film and television executive with a diverse range of skills and accomplishments. As Executive In Charge Of Documentary Production he created and delivered two - two hour specials (2X120) for A&E entitled, ‘The Mystery Of Genius.’ Most recently he completed four hours entitled ‘Red Space: The Secret Russian Space Program’ which reveals the story the world did not know, as seen through rare and first time archival footage unearthed in the former Soviet Union. The year 2000 production schedule includes an hour long entitled ‘The MIR Chronicles’ in association with CDC of Belgium, as well as ‘The Misdiagnosis Of Death’ for The Learning Channel and ‘Extreme Conditions: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder’ for Discovery.
His 13-part (13X60) series "Communication: The Human Imperative" a joint production involving Jones and the US Library of Congress, and hosted by Michael Dorn of Star Trek fame, has won numerous film and video awards, including the National Education Association’s "Award for the Advancement of Learning Through Broadcasting," the National Educational Media Network’s Gold Apple Award, a Gold Award for the Worldfest-Charleston International Film and Video Competition , four Telly Awards and is currently available as 26 half hours (26X30). Two additional award winning broadcast documentaries produced at LC for Jones rounded out his three years there.
Fiveson previously served as Executive Producer and Manager of Productions for the US Air Force Media Center at March Air Force Base, in California, where he oversaw over 500 productions in a six year period.
Other broadcast credits include a special he co-wrote with Johnny Carson ("Johnny Goes Home"), documentary series work including Writer/Producer/Director of six episodes of the popular "In Search Of... With Leonard Nimoy" and as an award-winning writer/director for Futura Productions, where he received multiple honors from Religion In Media. He has produced and directed in over 18 different countries, including several incursions behind the Iron Curtain producing covert exposes. He also has writing and directing credits for feature work - including a prestigious Saturn award from the Academy Of Science Fiction for Best Low Budget Picture "The Clonus Horror" - and numerous other honors.
A current member of The Writers Guild Of America, he is a graduate of USC film school, having earned a Masters Of Fine Arts in Cinema.
