Vivian Schiller

Vivian Schiller oversees long-form programming for CNN, including the award-winning documentary series "CNN Presents", "CNN Perspectives'7 and the current affairs biography series "People in the News", programs seen in more than 227 million television households throughout 212 countries and territories around the world

During her 14 year tenure with Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta, Schiller has contributed more than 1000 hours of original non-fiction television, covering a range of genres including children's, wildlife, current affairs and magazine. Programming highlights from the CNN Presents in the last year include the critically acclaimed documentaries "Beneath the Veil" and "Unholy War", the Dupont-award winning documentary "Northern Ireland Dying For Peace". The highly rated "People in the News" has featured a diverse series of personalities from U2's Bono to Taliban fighter John Walker.

Past highlights include, network senior producer role for such critically acclaimed programming such as the landmark and Peabody Award-winning Cold War series and Millennium series, Oscar(r)-nominated and Peabody Award-winning Hank Aaron: Chasing the Dream; the Peabody and Emmy Award-winning Steven Spielberg ~ Survivors of the Holocaust; the Emmy-nominated A Century of Women, Moon Shot, and The Coming Plague; and the environmental/natural history series Wild? Lift Adventures.

Schiller holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University and a Master of Arts degree in Russian from Middlebury College.
