Jean-Xavier de Lestrade
Jean Xavier de Lestrade began his career in television in 1987 directing news programs for Tribulations, an agency of his own creation. Five years later he left the company to direct documentaries full time, choosing difficult social subjects such as incest and incurable childhood disease, as well as questions of justice. In 1995 he teamed up with producer Denis Poncet to create their own production company: Maha Productions. In 2002 he won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature for his film "Murder On a Sunday Morning."
