The Strategic Producer: Marketing And Distribution Options Via Public Television
Presented by:
Niki Vettel, President, RealityCheck Media Consulting

This session will cover the practical and strategic approaches to developing a distribution and marketing plan for producers interested in finding a home for their projects on public television. Effective marketing and distribution are not afterthoughts: the considerations of where a program may "end up" and what is required to effectively market your one-off or series once it is accepted for distribution on any one of a number of public television distribution outlets have to be as carefully planned as the production itself. Different distribution options carry different producer responsibilities. PBS Plus, APT, NETA, and CPM, presenting station relationships, along with an understanding of what to consider with station relations, press materials and public relations will also be explained.
