Rita Mullin is director of development for Discovery Health Channel. She's been with Discovery for eight years, where she's also worked as an interactive executive producer for discoveryhealth.com, as editorial director of Discovery Publishing, where she developed books for adults and children, and as managing editor of Discovery Channel Monthly.

Prior to joining Discovery she was a writer and editor for Time-Life Books. She's also the author of two science books for children, Who's for Dinner? and Animalogy, which was chosen as one of the Best Science Books for Children by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in 1998.
