Based in E! Networks' New York offices, senior vice president, programming, The Style Network, Stephen Schwartz oversees all programming activities for the network, including production and network strategy.
An Emmy Award-winning producer, Schwartz served as Executive Producer at TLC for four years. He was the Executive Producer of one of cable's highest rated series Trading Spaces, a model that his influenced much of TLC's future program planning. Schwartz also served as Executive Producer for TLC's latest style-themed offering What Not to Wear and Trading Spaces' sister series While You Were Out, that premiered to rave reviews and stellar ratings.
Prior to TLC, Schwartz worked as a long form documentary producer and director for some of the television industry's top organizations, including CBS, ABC, and Lifetime. Other career highlights include serving as Senior Producer for The Awful Truth for United Broadcasting, live daytime programming for FX Networks, including the network's groundbreaking show Breakfast Time, as well as a variety of entertainment and news magazine format shows, including Geraldo Rivera's Now It Can Be Told, Fox's The Reporters, A Current Affair, Entertainment Tonight, and Inside Edition. In the 1980s, he served as Executive Producer for PM Magazine in New York, and creative consultant on the original David Letterman Show.
