Sheila Ryan is manager of program development for FitTV, responsible for all aspects of program development, including strengthening the networks' ties to the production community and building new programming partnerships. Ryan works with production companies to solicit and develop new show ideas that will solidify FitTV as the ultimate viewing destination for fitness and wellness programming.

Before joining FitTV, Ryan served in Discovery's Business Affairs department, managing DCI's joint venture agreement with the BBC and overseeing DCI's internal buy-in and development processes. Ryan also served with Discovery's Production Management department, supervising co-produced and commissioned programs.

A native of the Washington metropolitan area, Ryan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from George Washington University.
