As Manager of Production & Development, Susan Heimbinder manages the development and production of original series and specials airing on IFC and serves as Supervising Producer on key projects. In 2004 IFC marked its tenth anniversary with the most ambitious slate of original programming in the network's history.
Susan joined IFC in 2002. Some of her past projects include Slasher, directed by John Landis and Z Channel: A Magnificent Obsession, directed by Xan Cassavetes, which made it's premiere as an Official Selection in the 2004 Cannes Film Festival. In 2005 Susan will serve as Supervising Producer on several documentaries for IFC including Wanderlust, directed by Bob Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman and The Puerto Rican Day Parade Project directed by Rosie Perez and produced by Liz Garbus and Rory Kennedy. In addition, she is developing several documentary series and scripted pilots.
Prior to joining IFC, she worked with the Original Programming team at HBO. Some of her projects include In Memoriam: 9/11, My Architect , Cannibal: The Real Hannibal Lechter and The Virtual Corpse.
